BLISSFUL HELPFULNESS: MAKE THEM SMILE

Updated: Jul 24, 2023

Being helpful can be a blissful experience. When you help others, it often brings a sense of fulfilment, satisfaction, and happiness.

Helping others does indeed increase happiness and a sense of fulfilment. Research has proven that altruistic behaviour and acts of kindness can positively impact both the giver and the recipient.

How can helping others give you happiness?🤔

😊Makes you feel good:

When you lend a helping hand to someone, the shining eyes and relaxed face of the person make you feel happy. Such acts of kindness have been linked to the release of neurotransmitters like #dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin in the brain. These chemicals are associated with feelings of #happiness and well-being. The fact that you've made a difference in someone's life can bring a profound sense of accomplishment and gratification.

🙏Feel grateful:

When you are in a position to help someone in need, you feel blessed and grateful. Helping others can have a positive impact on their lives. Knowing you've made a difference in someone's life can be #gratifying. When you help someone, they often express gratitude and appreciation. Such expressions can uplift your mood and bring joy to your heart.

😊Boosts self-esteem and self-belief:

Helping others can make you believe in your #abilities and realize that you have something valuable to offer. Knowing that you have positively impacted someone else's life can boost your #self-esteem and confidence. It reinforces the idea that you are capable of making a difference, which can contribute to a more positive self-perception.

👉Have a sense of purpose and satisfaction:

Engaging in acts of #kindness and #helpfulness can give you a sense of purpose, as you know you're contributing positively to the world. It #motivates you to make such efforts and #empower yourself more. It gives you a sense of purpose in life. Acts of kindness and prosocial behaviour help people experience greater long-term life satisfaction and well-being.

😊Enhances social esteem, skills, and connections:

Helping others involves interacting with people, whether #volunteering for a cause or lending a #helping hand to someone in need. This can lead to stronger #social connections and a sense of #community, both of which are vital for overall happiness. Further, being helpful fosters a sense of connection and #empathy with others, strengthening bonds.

😊Create a positive ripple effect and inspire others:

Acts of kindness can be contagious. When you help others, they may be inspired to do the same, creating a positive ripple effect in the community. Witnessing the impact of your actions on others can bring immense joy and happiness.

😊Reduced stress and anxiety:

Engaging in acts of kindness and helping others have a #calming effect. It leads to reduced #stress and #anxiety levels. Focusing on someone else's needs can shift your attention away from your worries and problems, promoting a sense of calm.

😊Perspective Shift:

Helping others can help you gain a new perspective on life. It allows you to see the challenges and #struggles faced by others, which can make you more grateful for what you have and foster empathy and understanding.

😊Being helpful doesn't necessarily require grand gestures. Even small acts of kindness can impact someone's day and contribute to their happiness and well-being.

😊Embrace opportunities to help others, and you'll experience the#blissful effects it brings to your life.

😊Helping others without expecting anything in return is the key to reaping happiness.

🙇When you help others with an open heart and a willingness to make a positive difference, you will experience a profound sense of satisfaction and contentment.
