A Letter to My Beloved Mother
Those we love don't go away but walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, missed, and held very dear.
Dear Ma,
It's been a fortnight since you left this world, Mom (it was Mother's Day). But these days feel like a lifetime, and the pain remains as fresh as the moment when you said final goodbye.
Life will never be the same again without you. Your absence has created an emptiness that no words can adequately explain, yet I will try, for you deserve nothing less than my best effort to honour your memory.
When I look back, since I can recall, you were my guiding star. Your warm hug was a place where I found solace no matter how stormy life became. I miss your smile that could light up the darkest days and your laughter that filled our home with joy and love. You were the heart of our family, the one who held us all together with your unwavering love and strength.
Your wisdom was boundless, and your advice was a beacon of light for all three of us. You taught us the value of kindness, the importance of resilience, and the power of love. Every lesson you imparted has shaped me into the person I am today. I want to honour your legacy by living a life filled with the same grace and generosity you always showed.
I remember the countless times we spent together, whether it was sharing a cup of tea in the evening, narrating my college stories, or simply enjoying each other's company. These moments are now treasured memories, etched into my heart forever. I miss the way you would carry your saree, your soothing voice that could calm my deepest fears and your unwavering belief in me that gave me the courage to chase my dreams.
Your departure has left a void never to be filled. You were not just my mother but my best friend, confidant, and rock.
In your absence, I promise to carry forward the values you instilled. I will strive to be as kind, strong, and loving as you were.
